Down Under Construction (DUC), a Hylan Company, was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Sterling, Virginia. At the time, trenchless construction was in its infancy, and DUC began fostering the relationships the company still maintains today.

Although the industry segments that DUC serves have grown, and the services offered diversified, the company has always held its client relationships and the quality of work performed paramount.

Today, DUC serves the Federal Government, Land Developers, Utilities, and large Electrical Contractors.

Safety

Down Under Construction applies a rigid system of control on operational safety during job planning, throughout construction, and beyond finalization of the project when the general public utilizes the infrastructure.

Site safety plans are prepared for each individual project. The safety plans are reviewed by management and crew members together before starting work. Tool Box talks are routinely provided to reinforce basic safety practices. Site preparation, together with cleanup, are essential to maintain crew health and minimize hazards. Our objective is to leave the job site in a better state than when we began.
