Key Personnel  

Daryl Dunbar
President / CEO

As owner and operator since 1993, Mr. Dunbar leads DUC's leadership for Business Development, Strategic Planning, and Operations. Mr. Dunbar has grown Down Under Construction, Inc. from $200,000 to $17 million in annual revenues by bringing on such customers as AT&T, MCI WorldCom, Level 3, VDOT, Williams Communications, various government agencies and other notable organizations in the communications and utility industry. He has overall responsibility for operations with a specific emphasis in bidding and marketing.

Mr. Dunbar's background includes several years' experience in electrical construction for military facilities, including satellite and navigational operations. He has supervised and worked hands-on with complete electrical system installations for submarines and destroyers. His strength is AC/DC electrical systems and components.

He attended the Electrical Technical School of Nova Scotia and holds electrical construction and communications licenses as well as electronic repair certifications. Mr. Dunbar is a member of the Heavy Construction Contractors Association and the Power and Communication Contractors Association.



Bill Robinson

Executive VIce President

Mr. Robinson leads the day-to-day administrative functions for the organization and delivers detailed attention to the optimal performance of DUC's back-office functions. As the Operations officer, Mr. Robinson oversees contracts for DUC's clients, subcontractors, and vendors.

Mr. Robinson maintains 30 years of office operations experience including payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable. He has several years of experience as an operations manager with special public facilities and has directed multi-million dollar operations in new home construction.

His background also includes being the operations manager for the Rhode Island Sports Arena, a year-round regional sports facility. His duties included operations, finance, and contracting for the facility.



Scott Williams

Chief Estimator

An industry veteran, Mr. Williams is responsible for Business Development, Estimating, and Project Management. Mr. Williams manages long-term projects and develops new clientele. Mr. Williams works closely with DUC's clients to ensure that all contractual deliverables and obligations are met by DUC. His responsibilities also include preparing all documentation and backup for invoicing, as well as tracking DUC projects from a job-costing perspective.

Prior to joining Down Under, Mr. Williams spent five years with OSP Consultants where he reported directly to the ownership and served as a job-costing manager for the construction division. As a project manager he was responsible for all WMATA projects and currently heads up Down Under's WMATA division. At OSP his duties included job costing, invoicing, accounts receivable work, and monthly closings on budget-to-actual performance.

Mr. Williams is WMATA certified, CSX certified, and MTA Certified and has extensive knowledge of the tunnel systems of Washington, Baltimore and Atlanta. He received his BBA in Management from James Madison University.



Blaine Dunbar

Construction Manager, Operations

As Construction Manager of Operations, Mr. Dunbar organizes and manages the day-to-day activities for Down Under Construction's expanding turnkey solutions group, maintenance, and operations. Daily tasks include continual coordination and scheduling of all projects, recruitment and development of key personnel, monitoring contract performance, negotiating with vendors and subcontractors, and managing company projects for our private and govenment clients.

Prior to joining Down Under, Mr. Dunbar spent 16 years in the petroleum industry working for oilfield service giant Sperry-Sun Drilling Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Halliburton Company.

Mr. Dunbar achieved progressive tenure during the 16 years in the petroleum industry, elevating himself from an entry level Technician position to Operations Supervisor, a management position. During his time with Sperry-Sun, he became highly experienced with many facets of complex drilling projects working in the offshore environments in various countries for various major oil corporations.
